Weekend Activities
Many boarding students choose to stay at the Academy on weekends. We offer a bold, entertaining slate of weekend activities, including off-campus excursions across Southern California, engaging activities on campus, and shopping trips in bustling Carlsbad Village. Weekend activites are a great way for students to relax and unwind.

Many boarding students choose to stay at the Academy on weekends. We offer a bold, entertaining slate of weekend activities, including off-campus excursions across Southern California, engaging activities on campus, and shopping trips in bustling Carlsbad Village. Weekend activites are a great way for students to relax and unwind.
CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
During the weekend, students have access to our private beachfront and can play beach volleyball or use our outdoor workout equipment. They also enjoy our gyms, swimming pool, tennis courts, and oceanview recreation hall, which has video games, movies, and a snack bar.
EXCURSIONS
In addition to weekly excursions to local malls, shopping centers, and movie theaters, students enjoy outdoor activities in Southern California. Recent trips include boating and kayaking, laser tag, paintball, rock climbing, deep sea fishing, and archery. We also have regular visits to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios, and the San Diego Zoo.
THE VILLAGE
The Academy is located in the heart of Carlsbad Village, a popular resort destination with restaurants, shops, and local activities like street fairs, theaters, and outdoor movie nights. Students staying on campus over the weekend are able to venture into town to enjoy the sights.
